Taking a break from the alphabet...or my first quilt!

I made my very first quilt!! Well...my first quilt was in high school and I made it for my mom, but it was so bad it doesn't count! I made Amy Butler's Bella Quilt. My quilt store didn't have all of the fabrics to match so I used a mix of Amy Butler and Heather Bailey's FreshCut. I have the top done so far and need to go buy the fabric for the border, back, and batting. My husband and I have a deal that we have to self-fund any of our hobbies cause we're poor like that! So I sell stuff on etsy and he does freelance projects. It works out well, it's great incentive. So here you go...my first quilt. Look how organized I am!

  4. SO Pretty! I've been slowly cutting out squares for my first quilt, but it's nothing as complicated and beautiful as yours! I love your new blog and your baby is adorable! Thanks for linking me and for the nice comment you left, I'm off to add you to my link list too!

  6. Hi Kirsten, I am so glad you stop by my blog - I love US blogs , I find so many things different and still the same.
We have 3 lots of two week holidays through the year and then a big 6 week break over Christmas -when it is hot. I would love a cold Christmas. There is nothing worse than a huge roast lunch and puddings when it is 40 degrees. !!!
